The weekend was another great one in Beloit, as we have all come to know and appreciate. People started arriving on Wednesday to enjoy the beautiful city park. Friday night as the last of the late-comers were arriving the majority of the group enjoyed the Rib Eye Buffet at Trappers Restaurant in Simpson.
Saturday morning started with school as we all took a crash course in "Chocolate 101" given by Leah Hewitt.
In the afternoon the Prairie Winnies and High Plains Roamers each had their business meeting. Supper's buffet was a feast with the meat being provided by the hosts. We celebrated our "35th Birthday" as being a club with a big cake. Our patch and letter from WIT commemorating our achievement can be seen in the "Kansas pages". Card games and lively conversation finished off each night of the weekend.
Sunday morning we all gathered for a breakfast of finger foods and devotions led by our own Randall Weller, with the musical assistance provided by his wife Phyllis. Once again the weekend ended just as it was getting started, and we all packed up and headed back home.
