The High Plains Roamers met in Oberlin, KS on June 1-3 for the June campout.  Most of the members arrived on Thursday and enjoyed supper together at the Frontier Motel Restaurant.

Friday was spent touring Sappa Park and the Oberlin surrounding area.  Friday evening began with supper at the Landmark Inn Bed and Breakfast.  A drive down Main Street gave an idea of what was to come on Saturday.

Saturday began with pancakes and ham at the Bohemian Hall at the Last Stand Indian Museum in Oberlin.  The morning hours found the members enjoying vintage cars and antique shops along Oberlin's Historic Main Street.  Lunch was again enjoyed by all at the Frontier Motel Resaurant.  The afternoon was spent back at Decatur Fairground discussing and planning for GNR.  The first time GNR's listened, learned, and asked about activities and workshops and just in general what to expect.  The veteran GNR's were generous to explain.  For the evening meal the club gathered at the Re-Load Bar & Grill.

Sunday morning the hosts, Cheryl and Dale Votapka, provided breakfast casserole, toast, juice, and coffee.  This was followed by a short devotion/reflection led by Cheryl.  Goodbye's were said and the campers packed up and headed for their next destinations.
